SUMMARY:Design Thinking Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Design Thinking Workshop for the Development of a Modern Student-Centred Study Process and the Creation of the SIS\nActivity type: Competence development in the area of study process development and innovative solutions. \nRationale:\nA unified strategic vision is needed for the development of a student-centred study process in Latvian higher education\, including a conceptual framework for SIS development based on process development principles (business development needs) rather than solely technical solutions.\nThere is potentially a divergent understanding among the parties involved regarding the future study process model.\nA joint discussion of the vision is needed to identify the key challenges in the context of regulatory frameworks\, governance\, quality assurance\, and digital transformation. \nTarget group:\nRepresentatives of higher education institutions responsible for work packages\, VPC\, and public administration bodies primarily involved in the development of regulatory frameworks and implementation of processes in higher education (MoES\, AIKA\, etc.). Planned number of participants: 20–25 participants.\nEvent format: In-person \nExpected outcome:\nA structured process for study process transformation has been initiated\, establishing a shared understanding and an initially agreed vision for the directions and next steps in developing a student-centred study process that is competitive within the international higher education landscape.
