Preparing HEI Administrative Staff for Digital Transformation<\/h2>\n

Project Summary<\/strong>
\nThe project digitalises and modernises higher education administration in Latvia by developing interconnected shared solutions for all universities and colleges. It is implemented in two phases: in the first, solutions are developed and tested; in the second, all remaining higher education institutions (HEIs) join the system.<\/p>\n

\nFor employers<\/strong> \u2013 education better aligned with labour market needs, and access to accurate information about employee skills.
\nFor society<\/strong> \u2013 more accessible and higher-quality higher education, reliable data for policymakers, and closer integration into the European Higher Education Area.<\/p>\n

WP1 Objectives and Activities<\/strong>
\nThe aim of this work package is to ensure that HEI administrative staff are prepared to use and maintain all digital solutions developed under the other work packages. Training will cover three areas: modern study process models (flexible learning pathways, micro-credentials, student-centred approaches); digital transformation management skills (change management, data-driven decision-making, cybersecurity); and the exchange of good practices between universities on specific digitalisation solutions. Training will be delivered in various formats \u2014 lectures, workshops, online courses \u2014 both within individual HEIs and through joint events and study visits to foreign universities with comparable systems. Participants’ knowledge will be assessed both at the start and at the end of the training.<\/p>\n

Expected Outcome<\/strong>
\nThis work package will ensure that the project’s digital solutions are not merely implemented technically, but are genuinely embedded in day-to-day operations. Administrative staff at Latvian universities will gain practical skills for working with the new systems and a broader understanding of digital transformation principles. The good practice exchange mechanism will mean that each institution does not have to rediscover the same lessons independently \u2014 knowledge and experience will be consolidated and shared across all participating institutions.<\/p>\n<\/div>
